Greg Roman was WIDELY criticized for elementary route concepts and routes often leading to receivers overlapping or being in the same area when he was in Baltimore. Look at the bottom 3, Ladd, Keenan and QJ. When Herbert hitches to throw on his first read, ALL 3 are still in the same area. Ladd and Keenan end up occupying the exact same space! 🤦‍♂️

This play is hurting my brain. On the right, Spomer, Kaltenberger and Burke own the LOS and generate movement + Penning from LG gets to the LB. And...the run is to the left, where the matchup is Gadsden, Matlock and Derius Davis vs four defenders.

Azeez Al-Shaair was fined for a hit on #Chargers fullback Scott Matlock He was fined for this one, not the helmet to helmet on Omarion Hampton (2nd clip) or punching Ladd McConkey (missing the ball by 2 feet) And no suspension, despite being a repeat offender (remember Trevor Lawrence KO while sliding)

Everyone smiled at Jim Harbaugh when he did Harbaugh things. He took a 6'4 300lb DT, slapped #44 on him, and turned him into a fullback. There's still room for improvement, but ladies and gentlemen, the weapons grade ginger himself, Scott Matlock throwing blocks. #BoltUp

OK. I'm waking up more encouraged about Cole Strange. Why? 1️⃣He is fast as hell 2️⃣Never played RG in college or NFL before last season and still was identifying games and stunts with no problem 3️⃣Is built for wide zone Will power guys give him trouble? Yes, but he will fight

Former NFL scout John Middlekauff spoke about the Chargers interior offensive line play after week two. The Chargers chose to try to find cheap replacement level guards and have them be elevated by the scheme and play of the tackles + Biadasz. That plan can collapse quickly.

Reminder: The Spanos family hired Jim Harbaugh over Patriots HC Mike Vrabel. As competitive as football guys like this are, I would 100% expect Vrabel to use this as bulletin board type stuff.

Watching some later games of Chargers new safety Genesis Smith (I had only watch early season games) But, I sure hope being around Derwin James and Tony Jefferson helps elevate his will to tackle. Just lock him in a room and show him the Chiefs highlights
