Warren Buffett: There are levels of trade deficit that bother me "when you are, in effect, buying more from other countries than they're buying from you, you are handing them investment funds" "we don't want it to be a question of where we import 20% of our GDP and we export nothing. Now, we could all quit working, and we could handle little pieces of paper to the rest of the world. They could keep sending us food, they could send us autos, they could send us all kinds of things. But eventually, they have claims on all our wealth" Trust the process: short-term pain for long-term gain.

This is by far one of the best interviews from Bruce Flatt, Brookfield’s CEO. During the interview, the reporter asked him if we are in a bubble and he immediately broke character, saying we are not. He explained that the majority of these companies have better credit ratings than most countries, plenty of cash, and are making long-term investments. It’s not a job for everyone, and it’s not easy to do. Bruce also said we’re going to need all the power we can get, and energy consumption is expected to double over the next 15 years Bruce rarely shows emotion, but this time he decided to break character

Stanley Druckenmiller: My advantage is not IQ. It's trigger pulling. I admit it's some kind of intelligence. I wasn't in the top 10% of my class. A lot people think i'm smarter than I am because i'm good at our business. But I have a very narrow form of intelligence that allows me to love and play this game

"My algorithm has always been: You put smart people together, you give them a lot of freedom, create an atmosphere where everyone talks to everyone else. They're not hiding in the corner with their own little thing. They talk to everybody else. And you provide the best infrastructure. The best computers and so on that people can work with and make everyone partners." Jim Simons

Finally, someone isn’t afraid to speak the truth. Everyone knew that computers, semiconductors, and internet were going to change the future, and the impact was going to be massive. But the timing was miscalculated by the market and that miscalculation usually comes with corrections. Spot on, Kenneth Griffin

Peter Lynch: The average range for a stock on the New York Stock Exchange, the average high, average low, every year is 100% People know this, but they never buy it.....they never have the intention to buy. There are plenty companies with outstanding CEOs, strong buybacks, high free cash flow yields, and they keep innovating....

Larry Fink $BLK is saying the same thesis as Michael Burry. Every two or three years, chip designers develop a new generation with a 50% price increase, and hyperscalers are tempted to buy it because they want the best equipment and to offer the best services. In other words, it’s a rat race. Get out of the rat race...build your own chips, cheaper and with better performance.

Demis Hassabis CEO of DeepMind $GOOG: No one ever has enough chips … and there just aren’t enough compute chips in the world for the demand There’s a reason why $AMZN and $GOOG are running their own semiconductor labs and why we’re building a ridiculous number of semiconductor fabs. AI is projected to have more than 5 billion users by 2030 and the world still not ready for that day Al resources are gonna continue to be undersupplied
