Georgia alone was allocated $1.3 billion (from the VP Harris led $42 billion initiative) to provide Internet to over 315,000 unserved homes & businesses in that state. As Marjorie Taylor Greene notes, 1,000+ days later, not one home or business has been connected in Georgia with those dollars.

In 2021, Vice President Harris agreed to lead the Administration’s $42B plan to expand Internet to millions of Americans. 1️⃣,0️⃣3️⃣9️⃣ days later … Not one person has been connected to the Internet. None. With VP Harris at the helm, Politico recently reported on the “frustration” and “finger-pointing” that now define the program’s “messy, delayed rollout.” One state official described “a chaotic implementation environment,” “dysfunction,” and “delays.” She added that the Administration “has provided either no guidance, guidance given too late, or guidance changing midstream.” The Administration is “slowing states down,” she said. So what has the Administration been doing over the last 1,039 days instead of connecting Americans? It has been layering on red tape and advancing a wish list of progressive policy goals. The $42 billion program led by Vice President Harris is being used to pursue a climate change agenda, DEI requirements, price controls, preferences for government-run networks, and rules that will lead to wasteful overbuilding. All of this will leave rural and other unconnected communities behind. Thank you to Chairman Rep. James Comer and House Oversight Committee for the chance to testify on this failure of implementation.

AMERICAN DRONE DOMINANCE I just visited with Anduril for demonstrations of their drone & counter-drone technologies. Today, the FCC is launching a proceeding to support our domestic drone industry. President Trump has been clear that America’s innovators will lead the way. 🇺🇸

The ratings for legacy late night shows have been in a free fall. And you now have local TV stations that no longer want to air that programming. They’re pushing back and making programming decisions that they believe are responsive to the local communities they serve.

The Trump Administration is adding rocket fuel to America’s space economy. Finishing up a great visit to Midland, TX with Chairman Senator Ted Cruz where we toured a high-tech satellite manufacturing plant that’s been adding jobs & expanding production. Great for the country! 🇺🇸

On a recent visit back to Western North Carolina, I recognized Phillip with a ‘Build America Hard Hat’ I first met Philip in 2025 when he was working to restore service after Hurricane Helene. With roads & comms washed out, he waded into Broad River and hiked more than 3 miles up stream. He grabbed fiber conduit and, in a kayak, brought it down to Chimney Rock. Phillip ended up making that trek seven times as part of efforts to bring service back online. I’m proud to acknowledge America’s hard working infrastructure crews with these ‘Build America Hard Hat’ recognitions.

Screen time in schools has surged in recent years—particularly during covid. Parents often have little information or choice about their kids’ online exposure during school hours. President Trump has been empowering parents and working for great educational opportunities for all. The FCC is doing its part by examining a $3 billion a year program that subsidizes connections to and within schools. We want to make sure this program supports good educational outcomes, not distractions or poor performance.
