Underrated movie. A perfect zoom-out shot: the characters screaming directly at the camera, the slow reveal, the limp head comically falling back… The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) rules.

If you haven’t seen it yet and you’re looking for a Sam Neill movie to watch, definitely consider John Carpenter’s lovecraftian horror film IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS (1994)

Genuinely pretty fucking gross to say “it’s just a vampire movie” “it’s not that deep” about a movie where the characters explicitly talk about their struggles and fears living in the post-slavery south

“Everyone kind of treats the One Wish Willow like this cursed thing and I understand why because of the context of the movie. But the thing is… the thing that Bear wishes for is cursed, taking away someone’s autonomy, taking away someone’s self.”

The opening kill in SUSPIRIA (1977) is so brutal, tragic, cruel. And just how over the top and colorful it is really sets the mood for the film. RIP to her, but Argento’s mind!
