Delhi’s new EV Policy will come into effect on 1 July 2026 and remain in force until 31 March 2030. It marks a decisive step towards reducing vehicular pollution and accelerating the transition to electric mobility. Over the next four years, the Government will invest ₹7,000 crore, while Delhiites are expected to receive nearly ₹15,000 crore in benefits through incentives, tax exemptions and expanded EV infrastructure. Designed to make electric mobility more affordable and accessible, the policy follows a phased, uncapped approach. The more citizens choose EVs, the more the Government will support and incentivise the transition towards a cleaner, future-ready Delhi. #SmartDelhi #ViksitDelhi

Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta congratulated the people of Delhi, especially the women of the Capital, on the launch of the registration process for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana. The registration portal for the scheme, which provides ₹2,500 per month in financial assistance to eligible women, will open on 1 August.
