Un tramo muy especial de los años en los que competí en el Rally Catalunya-Costa Brava, que recuerdo perfectamente y que sigue prácticamente igual que entonces. Da gusto ver lo bien conservado que está todo el entorno y haber podido disfrutarlo esta vez con más calma, recorriéndolo en bici. Back at Els Àngels almost 40 years later! A very special stage from the years I competed in the Rally Catalunya-Costa Brava, one that I remember perfectly and that looks almost exactly the same as it did back then. It’s great to see how well the area has been preserved and to have been able to enjoy it this time at a slower pace, riding through it by bike.

Día complicado, con caminos estrechos y mucha vegetación. Difícil decidir si parar antes de meta. Al final, P8, aunque habría sido mejor quedar más atrás pensando en que no habrá motos abriendo camino mañana. Viene etapa de 48 horas, será intenso pero vamos con todo! 💪🏻 A challenging day with narrow paths and dense vegetation. Tough to decide whether to stop before the finish. P8 in the end, though finishing further back would’ve been better with no bikes clearing the way tomorrow. Up next is the 48-hour stage, it’ll be intense, but we’re all in! 💪🏻

Otro día con muchísima piedra, bastante más de lo esperado. La navegación no era fácil y en algún punto tocó darse la vuelta, pero lo importante es que hemos llegado sin percances. Mantenemos el P5 en la general. Mañana último día, vamos! Another day with a lot of rocks, more than expected. Navigation wasn’t easy and at some points we had to turn back, but the key thing is we made it through with no issues. We hold P5 overall. Last day tomorrow, let’s go!

Con mucha tristeza, tenemos que decir adiós al DAKAR RALLY este año. Así son las carreras, a veces toca vivir la parte más amarga. Pronto volveremos a casa para recuperarnos física y mentalmente. Ayer casi conseguimos ponernos líderes, pero hoy las cosas se torcieron. Un error de navegación y una penalización por saltarnos un waypoint que no encontrábamos nos dejan sin opciones en la general. Así es el Dakar. Toca seguir y luchar hasta el final! Yesterday we almost managed to take the lead, but today things didn’t go our way. A navigation mistake and a penalty for missing a waypoint we couldn’t find leave us out of the fight for the overall. That’s the Dakar. We'll keep pushing and fighting until the end!

P7 en la etapa 3 y P4 en la general. Hoy tocó activar el modo supervivencia tras dos pinchazos y quedarnos sin ruedas de repuesto con 60 kilómetros aún por delante. Aun así, recuperamos parte del tiempo de ayer. A por la primera etapa maratón mañana! P7 in Stage 3 and P4 overall. Today we had to switch to survival mode after two punctures and running out of spare tyres with 60 km still to go. Even so, we managed to recover some of the time lost yesterday. On to the first marathon stage tomorrow!

Mañana toca día de descanso para reponer fuerzas y chequear todo el coche. Gracias equipo Ford Racing por el trabajazo de ayer por la noche para que hoy pudiéramos salir! P6 en la etapa 1. Terreno muy variado y mucha piedra, así que hoy tocaba ir con cabeza, sin apretar de más y pensando en la estrategia para mañana. Mañana ponemos rumbo a AlUla. Seguimos!! 💪🏻 P6 in Stage 1. Very mixed terrain and lots of rocks, so today was about being smart, not pushing too hard and already thinking about tomorrow’s strategy. Tomorrow we head to AlUla. We keep going!! 💪🏻
