Nearly 53,000 people, but only one small station... I spent the hour before kick off outside the Hill Dickinson asking Evertonians a simple question: how do you actually get to and from the match? These are some of their answers, unfiltered, highlighting the queues at Sandhills after full time, the congestion, the walk back in the dark. None of it is a surprise to anyone who goes, but it's important to them as they're the ones affected by poor planning! #EFC #HillDickinsonStadium #TravelChaos #LiverpoolFirst

The size of that... RAT! Time and time again, local residents tell me, and my Lib Dem colleagues, that one of their major issues, locally, is the rat infestations around their homes. And who can argue when the city is strewn with sites like this - Flytipping, left over bins, and a refusal to remove if not in a bin, when the council is removing the much needed extra bins!!! We need to sort this, now. #EndTheBlight #Rats #SizeOfThat #Waste #Liverpool

I was challenged to make a video specifically looking at the state of the housing stock around the Smithdown area. As you can see from this video, within streets of each other is the combination of well kept houses, alongside derelict properties blighting the area. This can't keep happening. #EndTheBlight #Liverpool #HomesForEveryone #HousingCrisis #CleanUpOurStreets

Sonny was attacked in Liverpool City Centre walking home after his shift in work... We must make our city safe for our people. As Sonny says better public transport is a must.

Many people know the Cunard Building as one of Liverpool's Three Graces, or where Liverpool City Council houses most of its offices and business. But so much of the building is empty, not used, and in disrepair. It is sitting on one of the most visited parts of the city centre, the waterfront, and yet isn't up to the potential that it has to increase the attraction to our beautiful city. What do you think could become of the empty space in the Cunard? #EndTheBlight #Liverpool #LimitlessPotential

The Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority is proposing to reduce the number of times you can access the local tip to a set amount each year, along with a booking only system. Most people don't plan that far in advance that they are going to the tip, and some will definitely have more than what can be stored and then delivered 6 times a year! This will surely lead to more flytipping across Merseyside! Have your say, check out the consultation here: #EndTheBlight #Liverpool #TheTip #Waste #Flytipping

Those on the right love to use the ‘but gays would be tortured in Gaza’ line. You don’t have to agree with a government or religion to have compassion for human beings. I’ve experienced how toxic the far left can be and I still support Palestinian people and still stand fiercely against antisemitism and Islamophobia because I don’t like to see innocent people hated for who they are or being killed.

At conference I spoke about the Duty of Candour and about the horrific story of a local resident in West Derby. We must show strength in instances where public officials have been found to have wilfully lied to the public or acted to cover up

So... Andy Burnham is the country's new Prime Minister. And you know what? I'm actually looking forward to what could happen, it feels very reminisice of 1998 when Mike Storey took control of Liverpool City Council in the wake of Tony Blair becoming the new Labour PM. Watch this space. #Liverpool #Burnam #PrimeMinister #LocalPolitics

The European Convention on Human Rights exists to protect us against states that become rogue. It might be trendy for right wingers now to say let’s leave but what about future prime ministers who might trample over people’s fundamental rights. I’m excited to debate this subject at the Cambridge Union debate on the 20th November #EHCR #HumanRights
