Most Catholics know Mary stood at the Cross. But the CCC# 964 says something stunning: Mary “lovingly consented" to the sacrifice of her Son. That is not sentimental Marian devotion. That is supernatural holiness. At Nazareth, Mary said yes to the Incarnation. At Calvary, Mary’s yes became a sword through the soul. She did not run. She did not rage. She stood. And in faith, she consented. This is why Catholics love Mary. Not because she replaces Jesus. Because she teaches us how to follow Him when the Cross costs everything. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.

❤️ At the hour of my death, when I’m about to stand before Almighty God… If I could choose only one person to pray for me, it would be the Blessed Virgin Mary because she is closest to her Son. This beautiful teaching shows why: The Angel Gabriel did not say “Hi, Mary.” He greeted her with the royal salutation reserved for nobility: “Hail, full of grace!” (Lk 1:28) Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!” (Lk 1:42) The entire first half of the Hail Mary is Sacred Scripture, word for word. And the second half: “Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death” is the Church’s confident cry to the Queen of Heaven and our tender Mother. Who else would you want interceding for your soul in that moment? 👉🏽Pray the Rosary today. 👉🏽Trust Our Lady. 👉🏽She never abandons her children.

The soul remembers what the mind forgets. In this beautiful moment, Yvon Kanters sings Ave Maria with Rudy, a tenor living with dementia. Dementia can take names, dates, and memories. But it cannot erase the music God planted deep in the soul. For a few minutes, suffering gives way to beauty. The room becomes a chapel. And grace reminds us: every human life is still sacred, still loved, and still capable of reflecting God. ❤️
