“Wesley Bell is Not to Be Trusted” Says former Bell campaign staffer in 2018 when Bell was running for DA to unseat 28-year incumbent Bob McCulloch, the famed D.A. who didn’t indict Darren Wilson after he killed Mike Brown Jr. This interviewed staffer was a prominent Ferguson activist, and Bell received great activist support. Prior to running for Congress against Cori Bush with AIPAC support, Bell’s rise in 2018 was built off the campaigning of many Ferguson activists, including the Brown family, as an alternative to McCulloch. This general sentiment on Bell expressed here is shared by every former staffer & Ferguson activist that I have interviewed.
