At 6:15 am, 87 yo veteran was released from DC jail today after being arrested yesterday on Capitol steps for protesting against #TrumpParade, Army spectacle and U.S. war machine. He was met by jail support who stayed up to help over 50 vets. He also answered this question:

1—Rula Jebreal used racist language. She was wrong. She instantly apologized. 2—When Congress enters, incl. Randy Fine commending CBC—it’s NOT about those words 3—It’s her OTHER words on Israeli g-cide—incl. Anti-Black racism she/her family faced growing up as Afro-Palestinian (video) & her critique on the sterilization of Ethiopian Jews is anti-Black racism these Congress ppl won’t mention. 4—This reps 99% Rula’s history fighting for justice. How good faith ppl consider her apology and her history is entirely up to them. But you know what Rula can’t do? Make U.S. policy decisions to send bombs to butcher babies, and help sadistically torture & rape hostages in Israeli concentration camps. 5—This is really about an AIPAC-driven bipartisan campaign to weaponize her words to distract from the mass murder of Palestinians that incl. both Dem leaders, Hakeem Jeffries & Chuck Schumer, whose aiding & abetting war crimes need no apologies, only court dates at The Hague w/Trump/Rubio/Biden & Blinken for starters 6—If genuinely about words, Congress would’ve issued statements last week on Laura Loomer’s vitriolic racism toward Angie Nixon, Bill Maher many weeks, or Joe Biden many years, for starters. 7—For ppl acting in good faith, and esp on non-political level, apology acceptance are always personal decisions by aggrieved parties. I don’t tell Black ppl or anyone else “how to feel”. This post is about the bad faith ppl exploiting Rula to distract from crimes against humanity. 8—As someone who covers protests against police terror, and well-aware of “The Deadly Exchange” where cops of all major metro areas train & lean police tactics from the IOF using Palestine as a laboratory for U.S. cop cities—Palestine is also a deadly domestic racism issue. That is just a fact. 9—Finally, as a Jew raised on Holocaust movies, Never Again Means Never Again for anyone. Period. My Jewish upbringing informs both my anti-racism and opposition to Z1onism which is a white supremacist colonial construct that has hijacked Judaism, and the U.S. gov’t from Randy Fine to the CBC. “Wesley Bell is Not to Be Trusted” Says former Bell campaign staffer in 2018 when Bell was running for DA to unseat 28-year incumbent Bob McCulloch, the famed D.A. who didn’t indict Darren Wilson after he killed Mike Brown Jr. This interviewed staffer was a prominent Ferguson activist, and Bell received great activist support. Prior to running for Congress against Cori Bush with AIPAC support, Bell’s rise in 2018 was built off the campaigning of many Ferguson activists, including the Brown family, as an alternative to McCulloch. This general sentiment on Bell expressed here is shared by every former staffer & Ferguson activist that I have interviewed.
