In July 2024, after becoming Deputy Chief Minister, he met the family at his office and referred them to Home Minister Anitha. Later, in 2025, the case was handed over to the CBI. A case that did not come up for a single hearing between 2017 and 2024 was heard more than 14 times after Pawan Kalyan assumed office. The mother herself acknowledged that the previous governments had collectively destroyed crucial evidence. Yet today, she blames PawanKalyan. She went to the extent of filing a case against Pawan Kalyan, but she never filed a case against any leaders of either TDP or YSRCP.
