I love this from Pellegrino Matarazzo (Real Sociedad Fútbol) where he is speaking about pre-season planning and implementation. However, I believe this is important in any phase of your season. Everything should be planned and strategized, because without clear structure in your work, and relying on improvisation, it’s impossible to consistently have a high level of trainings, meetings and performance cycles. BUT Coaching is an art, and without leaving room for adaptability and adjusting to the group’s needs, your trainings and environments become stale and even the best plans become ineffective.
