The Governor and other state officials, along with Penn Medicine officials, announced two “measles-associated” deaths here. The underlying assertion was that the deaths were from measles. In fact it has been stated these are the first measles deaths in the U.S. in 35 years. But the County Coroner says there are zero measles deaths here. The Governor’s office will not respond to questions. And now apparently they will not respond to CDC either. I think it is fair to ask why? If you have a press conference announcing this, you have a duty to be transparent.
