President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: "Genocide, like the Holocaust, is a shameful, inhumane, barbaric concept employed to describe mass extermination of people. But today in Gaza, it is not only human lives that are being destroyed. Animals are also being targeted and killed in Gaza. Farmlands, orchards, gardens, and trees—Gaza’s centuries-old olive trees—are being wiped out. Water sources are being destroyed and contaminated. Buildings, homes, libraries, hospitals, schools, mosques, churches, and historic sites are being deliberately demolished. The very soil of Gaza is being rendered unusable—for human beings, for animals, and for plants alike. I ask you now: What does this image I hold in my hand have to do with any pursuit of security? Is this not "hostility toward life itself—toward every living being"? I am stating it openly from this podium: There is no war in Gaza. In Gaza, there are not two sides to speak of. On one side stands a regular army wielding the most modern, lethal weaponry; on the other, innocent civilians, innocent children. This is not a fight against terrorism. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: "Now, I will show you a photograph depicting daily life in Gaza. Let us all place our hands on our hearts—and answer truthfully. In the year 2025, can such cruelty truly be justified by any reasonable cause? In Gaza, however, this shameful spectacle for humanity has been repeating itself every single day for the past 23 months. Within an area of 365 square kilometres, 2.5 million Gazans are being displaced on a daily basis, compelled each day to flee yet another place. Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure has completely collapsed. Doctors have been killed or disappeared under custody. Ambulances have been targeted. Hospitals have been bombed and reduced to rubble. Treatment is impossible, surgery is impossible, and access to medicine is impossible." #PalestinesVoiceErdogan

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: ▪ Today marks a new beginning. Today, a new chapter has been opened in history. Today, the gates of a great and powerful Türkiye — the Century of Türkiye — have been opened wide. ▪ It is important to underline that. Since the first act of terror in 1984, the Republic of Türkiye has resorted to every possible means and method in its efforts to eradicate terrorism. Drawing on examples from around the world, various solutions that go beyond armed struggle have been tried to end terrorism. Yet, none have yielded success. ▪ Let me state clearly: the recent Terror-Free Türkiye Initiative we have been pursuing is not the result of any negotiation, bargaining, or trade-off process. That is precisely why we have exercised great caution from the outset — and we remain even more vigilant today. ▪ We closely follow any initiative that may stop the bloodshed, dry the tears of grieving mothers, ease the pain, and strengthen our bonds of brotherhood. ▪ But let everyone be assured of this: we will never allow the honour and dignity of the Republic of Türkiye to be trampled upon, nor will we ever let Türkiye bow its head. Guided by this approach, we remain committed to our Terror-Free Türkiye Initiative.
