Keith Murray is one of those MCs who rarely gets mentioned enough when people talk about the great lyricists of the ’90s. Distinctive voice, ridiculous vocabulary, abstract wordplay, charisma and a completely unorthodox flow - nobody really sounded like him. Seriously underrated MC. 🎤🔥

One for the Pac heads 👀🔥 The rarely seen beach version of 2Pac’s “Toss It Up” has circulated among fans for years, but was never the main officially released video. Completely different vibe from the darker garage version most people know - and Aaron Hall actually appears in this one too. 🎬🌊🔥

30 years ago today, we lost the great Tupac Amaru Shakur. 🙏🕊️ Hard to even comprehend that it’s been three whole decades. I still remember those six days in September 1996, hoping somehow he was going to pull through. Pac was so much more than a rapper. He was a poet, an actor, a critical thinker, a revolutionary voice, a mass of contradictions and, in hindsight, almost too prophetic. He had an extraordinary ability to put anger, poverty, injustice, love, fear and vulnerability into words. His stature has only grown - and so much of what he spoke about feels even more relevant today than it did during the short time he was here. And something even many other lifelong Pac fans still don’t know - this is his actual resting place. After Pac was cremated, his family and friends gathered in Malibu with the intention of releasing his ashes into the Pacific. Only a small portion were scattered there. During the ceremony, a huge wave suddenly hit Afeni and knocked her over - something some of those present interpreted as a message from her son. Afeni ultimately kept the majority of Pac’s ashes with her. In 2002, Afeni returned to her native Lumberton, North Carolina, where she had built a home on a 56-acre property. She later had her son’s ashes buried there beneath the headstone you see in this video. For nearly 30 years, most of the world believed Pac had simply been scattered to the ocean. All that time, he had been resting quietly on his mother’s private land. 30 years later, his music, his words, his influence and his spirit are still everywhere. There genuinely will never be another one. I’m glad he finally received at least a small measure of the justice he had been denied for so long. Rest easy, Pac. Life goes on… but you will never be forgotten. 🙏 1971 - 1996 #2Pac #Tupac #TupacShakur #HipHop #RIP2Pac
