Despite the result and criticism, I take the positives out of the way Carrick set-up the press against Amorim build-up. We pressured their CB to recycle and lose possession leading to multiple big chances that could have sealed the game early. Unfortunately Milan players managed to somehow win every 1v1 duel possible, especially on wide channels. There is only much a manager can do there. Also comparing Amorim and Carrick build-up fundamental ideas, I don’t have any doubts we have a better manager on our side
