Telling your MAGA family member that you hate who they’ve become doesn’t bring them back, it pushes them further away. When you accuse someone of changing, or tell them what they’re feeling, you aren’t speaking to their authentic self anymore. You’re speaking to their cult identity, and that part only gets more defensive when challenged. What actually works is asking questions.
