A fan recognized me at Disneyland and came up to me. He happened to be super handsome and I was def about it. After we FaceTimed a couple of weeks after, I was like okay, I am feeling this. I went on a couple of dates with this guy in 2018, and I won’t lie, over the years, I’ve definitely thought about him. Come to find out, his “boyfriend” is his husband… he made it seem like they broke up. After a drunken FaceTime, I find out that they are MARRIED. He told me they broke up but never said that they were legally together. I found out after I stalked them on Instagram AFTER the call. Mind you, I’ve never met his husband, but his husband has me blocked on everything. Given the info, it has to be true because again, I’ve never met the guy. The husband knows that he apparently never forgot about me and that he’s contemplated leaving him to try and pursue me. I didn’t even know he got married… or that they were still together. Oh and by the way, they are still together. I was a little traumatized not gonna lie. 🫨

Dating is honestly exhausting and it’s getting weird. As a kid, I was in the Boy Scouts for 6 years. My dad was the troop master and I remember the other boys and the parents always being weird with me because of how "gay" or “effeminate" I was. My parents always stood beside me and protected me when it came to who I was or my self expression. I credit them with the confidence that I have today and l am so lucky and appreciative to them. At the end of the day, we are all human and have flaws. I take full accountability for the times where I've been the problem. There are certain traumas that dating has caused me. In turn, I can be super shut off and cut things off pre-maturely if I feel like my efforts are not being returned. Granted, most of the time my senses have been correct, but I'm not going to sit here and act like I haven't been wrong. I'm weird with men because they have caused me so much self doubt and grief tbh. The second I quit drinking and started focusing on myself, everything started going UP. My dreams have been slowly coming true and my level of confidence is unshakeable. l've tried putting myself back out there recently and I felt those feelings of inadequacy and insecurity creep back and I said NOPE! I'm not going through that again. I am not attracted to men who give me breadcrumbs. I spent the majority of my 20s in that vicious loop and I won’t go through that again. At the end of the day, the right man isn't going to make you doubt yourself. He will always make you feel like you're enough. And as for the love of my life aka the one that got away... I wish him nothing but the best... wherever he is 💕

It's funny how a guy can tell you that he's looking for his forever person, something serious and someone who and I quote "matches his effort," but the second you do, they get weird and the texts start lagging. They get what they ask for and now I'm the one moving too fast and being made to feel like I'm being too much. I'm just normal and old school in a world that doesn't appreciate that. Anyways, never bringing my intensity down. Always going to take action and be THAT guy. And let me reiterate, I would never expect someone to cancel their plans for someone they haven't met. But a tentative "maybe" plan that you haven't even heard anything about yet... yeah.. cmon 🤣🤦🏻♂️
