If you don't like the addon (mod) just don't download the addon (mod)" People are increasingly getting tired and angry of gated mod websites (pretty much all of them) disrupting the process of mod creators sharing their mods with those who would enjoy them, resulting in an ever-increasing demand for a true mod website that does not break this process. People don't want just another mod website where it starts off as 'anti-censorship' and later down the line behaves like those that came before it, having history repeat itself with the same headache of an issue. That's why we started building that true mod website/platform around a year ago, and releasing the initial version on the 15th of August 2024. DEG Mods (Decentralized Game Mods) is an open-source censorship-resistant and permissionless true mod website, where the owners and admins/moderators cannot control or delete user accounts, and they cannot properly delete mods, where at most they can be hidden from discovery and/or blocked from being viewed, yet even those actions can be bypassed. Moderation is done to keep things clean (from non-mods, spam, scam, malware, and illegal type posts), and because of the tech used, proper freedom is maintained at the same time, and people/users have the same moderation tools that admins do, simple yet powerful systems that they themselves can utilize to have a custom experience on the site that meets their own standards. People don't want a repeat of this issue, and a permanent solution is now available, getting better with time and evolving the whole scene.
