A young boy has reportedly survived a violent clash that broke out between residents of Itire and Ijesha communities in the Surulere area of Lagos State. The incident left the child caught in the middle of the confrontation after he was sent on an errand by his mother. According to the boy’s mother, her son had left home to run the errand when the clash suddenly erupted, placing him directly in the path of the violence. Despite the dangerous circumstances, the boy managed to escape unharmed, a development his family has described as fortunate given the intensity of the disturbance. The clash between the two neighbouring communities has raised fresh concerns about tensions in the area, with residents calling for calm and a swift intervention by security agencies to prevent further escalation.
