Today is the Birth anniversary of Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam (SP Balasubrahmanyam) He was born on 4th Jun 1946 in Nellore. He made his debut as a playback singer with Sri Sri Sri Maryada Ramanna, a Telugu film. But more than legendary artist, he was a great Human being. Look at this clip - He is on the Sabarimala darshan yatra. Like some devotees, he takes the doli. But unlike many, he starts by touching the feet of the Doli carrier. That's a small sign of humbleness!

This is a promotional video for a Veg restaurant in Kozhikode in Kerala. The audio starts with Saint Thyagaraja kriti ' Manavyala Kinchara' in Raagam Nalinakanti. This Raaga is known to lead the rasika to a pleasant and delightful mood, which is what the ambience of a good restaurant should provide to the connoisseur. The audio is interspersed with some chart buster film songs based on the Raagam Nalinakanti. Innovation!

How each one of us can make a small difference. Video is in Malayalam but I have summarized it below. Aziz Bhai (called the "Kite Man of Kozhikode") - now for over 35 years, visits the beach daily to feed thousands of Brahminy Kites and Black Kites. Aziz collects meat waste from local chicken stalls, packs it onto his bicycle, and pedals several kilometers to the shore. There is an entry whistle - The moment he whistles, the sky fills with thousands of birds that have learned to associate his sound with a meal. Then he has a second, "exit" whistle that signals the end of the session. Once they hear it, the birds disperse back to the trees and rooftops Now he has become quite a celebrity in Kozhikode.
