JESSE BAM RODRIGUEZ EDGES OUT THE MONSTER NAOYA INOUE IN THIS CLASH Jesse Bam Rodriguez enters with a sharper ring IQ that will frustrate the aggressive Monster Naoya Inoue from the opening bell. Inoue’s vaunted power is overrated when facing elite technicians like Bam, who has outclassed similar punchers in past fights with ease and precision. Bam’s defense was impenetrable against previous challengers, absorbing far less damage than Inoue typically allows in his more open wars. Speed-wise, Bam’s lightning combinations in recent bouts clearly outpaced what Inoue has shown against top opposition. Power for power, Bam’s precise and timed shots have more devastating effect, dropping foes cleanly without wild swings. Overall, Bam holds every key advantage heading into this mega fight and will prove it decisively. Inoue is gonna learn, and he will learn the hard way.

HOW TYSON REVENGE ALI BY KNOCKING OUT LARRY HOLMES IN FOUR ROUNDS On January 22 1988 at Atlantic City’s Trump Plaza Mike Tyson faced Larry Holmes to defend his undisputed heavyweight titles. The young champion had carried a teenage vow made to Muhammad Ali after Holmes stopped the aging legend in 1980. Tyson pressed forward from the opening bell while Holmes tried to clinch and survive. After three rounds the judges saw Tyson ahead 30-27 on one card and 29-28 on the other two. In the fourth Holmes was dropped three times by heavy rights as referee Joe Cortez moved in. Cortez waved the fight over at 2:55 of the round without a full count after the third knockdown. It was the only time Larry Holmes was ever knocked out in 75 professional fights and the moment Tyson fulfilled his promise to avenge Muhammad Ali.
