For Erdogan, radical Islamic terrorists are not terrorists, they are fellow Muslims. For Erdogan and Turkey, the Kurds are the terrorists, no matter what. But the reality is, Kurds are survivors. There’s a reason every ethnic and religious minority in the Middle East has either disappeared or their numbers have decreased dramatically. The Kurds have gained in population, including in Turkey. The Kurds have established an army. The Kurds have implemented self-governance away from the status quo. This is despite the odds being against them. That’s why it’s crucial for freedom loving people around the world to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Kurds and against warmongering Islamist Turkey. The Turks won’t stop. As Senator Lindsey Graham said, prove it. Kurds are one of the very few reliable allies the United States has in the Middle East.
