I’m very honoured to been made an Honorary Fellow of the Association of Scottish Literature @scotlit which does sterling work to promote Scots writing. The ceremony was deeply moving with the recitation of ballads and the singing of songs in Scots and the Gaelic. One highlight a wonderful Gaelic rendition of In Praise of Ben Doran by the great Duncan Ban Macintyre, and a fabulous English translation by Alan Riach who writes like Scotland's answer to Gerald Manley Hopkirk. Thank you again ASL
