A 21-year-old man fatally SH0T by Las Vegas police officers. He was impaired and grabbed a gµn before pointing and firing it at officers in an apparent sµicide-by-cop incident captured on police body camera footage. When LVMPD traffic Officer Kenneth Pillette and Officer Chad Betts arrived, two of the drivers said the third driver, suspect 21-year-old Kenneth Busse, appeared to be impaired. When Busse was asked by Betts to take a field sobriety test, Busse refused, ran to a nearby bush and picked up a firearm he left there prior to officers arriving on the scene, Kelly said. Busse pointed it at Betts and fired a round at the officer, which jammed in the chamber, preventing him from firing again. Pillette, a 20-year veteran of the department, and Betts, a 19-year officer, fired a total of six times at Busse, striking Busse in the chest. Busse was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Los Angeles, California — Officers responded to a radio call of a robbery in progress at a business. The comments of the call indicated the suspect, 41-year-old Christopher Hall, wearing what looks like a women's swimsuit, was armed with a gµn, and he possibly assaµlted a female worker. Once officers arrived at the location, they were directed by witnesses and an LAPD air unit to Hall, who had run from the business to an adjacent apartment complex. Hall proceeded to a narrow pathway north of the building, while still armed. Officers contacted Hall and ordered him to drop his weapon. Hall refused and pointed his weapon at the officers, resulting in an officer firing at him. Hall was not struck; however, he dropped his handgun and climbed over a nearby fence. As Hall fled north, an officer deployed a TASER. Hall fell to the ground and was taken into custody without further incident.
