St George was probably a real man but his legend is also a form of the ancient Indo-European dragon slayer myth. This mysterious stone was carved in about 3,000 BC. It was found inside Knowth passage tomb in Ireland, and was perhaps used by the Neolithic people in rites related to the fertility of the land. Considering Knowth's solar alignment, it might also be a mobile sundial?
