Gov. Jelly Belly is Illinois' most frequent innocent bystander. The billions of other people's money he spent on illegals after he relentlessly touted IL as a sanctuary state, told the world over that IL will take all comers on their terms and demonized ICE at every turn? TX Gov. Greg Abbott's fault. Abbott should've disproportionately absorbed the ravages of the Big Guy/JB open borders orthodoxy happily rather than putting JB's posturing to a real-world test. On the Bears leaving? The Bears didn't sufficiently genuflect before him. And they failed to send Ben Johnson to Springfield to work the rail, maybe sign some footballs. Caleb could've come down and gotten his nails done with legislative dandies like Welch and Harmon. And, of those financial challenges facing Illinois families? Where did those come from? Trump, of course. Even before Trump got into office Even when Trump was out of office. Even though IL was the nation's highest-taxed and worst-run state with the largest percentage of residents who want to leave (and are leaving) before Trump and remains so during Trump, Trump is to blame for all of it. Pritzker has really gotten a raw deal. He is King Midas. A little help would be nice, everyone else.

We at Morning Answer broke this story last week that has now become international news. H/T J.K. Rowling, Riley Gaines Nicole Georgas, mom of a 13-year-old girl who attends Alan B. Shephard Middle School in Deerfield, IL, just told us on Morning Answer she is not backing down. She will be filing a police report today after administrators tried to force her and other girls to disrobe in front of a boy. She has audio of the exchange between the girls and school staff. A case study in what one motivated mom can do.

Deerfield 109. Middle schools. Girls forced to change clothes in front of boys. Are you with Nicole or Charlie? Ultimately, people have to choose. We can be considerate and respectful but there is no "middle ground" on this matter. You either believe a trans woman is a woman or you don't and that understanding drives obvious policy differences. As an aside, if, as Nicole alleges, Deerfield school administrators attempted to force her daughter to change clothes in front of a boy, they violated criminal law, even in Illinois. Full story here:

The story of violence in Chicago is not solely about murders and shootings. They go up, things are getting worse. They go down, things are getting better. That represents only the simplistic reporting of a dishonest and detached Chicago political ruling class and their press corps. What this young woman endured is the rest of the story and she should be thanked for telling it. Hers is a story of Chicagoans who were already on guard and are now traumatized after being victimized. Do you think she will ever again not live in fear in Chicago? Pritzker is a nasty, venal and vacuous mug for whom no level is too low to stoop in search of self-actualization through public office. That he is unlikely to be widely rebuked is another testament to how indecent Illinois has become under his lordship.

BLM Brandon is correct that he reduced class sizes. With schools like Douglass Academy having a capacity of 912 students but only an enrollment of 35 that really reduces class size. Nevermind the per pupil spend is more than $68,000/yr. As to that "living wage" for teachers, Chicago's are the highest paid in the nation (adjusted for cost of living) but, hey, they're mostly women so they and their salaries are beyond reproach.

This weekend, it was a much more somber BLM Brandon chastising kids from attending these "violent gatherings" and engaging in these "incidents" during "unsanctioned events" while calling for parental oversight. So it's not a "manufactured crisis" anymore?
