Chicago, look at this. Right in front of the store owner on Grand and Ashland. CAUGHT ON CAMERA. This is exactly why PUBLIC SAFETY is at the top of my platform. As mayor, I will push to rebuild police staffing and put officers where the crime is happening, especially in our business corridors and repeat-crime hot spots. We will use cameras, better lighting, license-plate readers, and other lawful technology to help police identify offenders and build cases. Our business owners should not have to live in fear while trying to make an honest living and serve their communities. And when repeat offenders are arrested, I will use the mayor’s platform to demand accountability throughout the system. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. In the first 30 days of my administration, I’m ending sanctuary city policies/status. I’m conducting a full forensic audit of all municipal budget activities to find out exactly where taxpayers’ money is going. I’m also going directly into our communities, talking to citizens and encouraging qualified Chicagoans to apply to become police officers. We will create strong incentives to recruit and retain officers so we can address the shortage of nearly 2,000 officers. When people know their leadership cares about them, supports them, and has their backs, they don’t mind working hard for you. That’s the kind of leadership I’m bringing to Chicago. I went to Cook County State’s Attorney office The Cook County State's Attorney's Office Eileen O’Neill Burke the other day to tell her directly. DO YOUR JOB. I’m not just talking, I’m showing you the real-life experiences that taxpaying citizens are going through every single day. I’m out here seeing it, hearing it, and experiencing it firsthand. One thing about me: you will not collect a taxpayer-funded salary and pension while the people you serve feel ignored and unsafe. Public officials are put in these positions to serve the people. People ask me, “Danielle, as mayor, how are you going to make State’s Attorneys and judges do their jobs?” A mayor cannot order a prosecutor to prosecute a case or order a judge to keep someone in jail. But I CAN use the mayor’s platform to demand accountability. I can put pressure on the system. I can bring the facts before the public. I can call attention to cases and policies when Chicagoans believe the system is failing them. And I can make sure these issues DO NOT GO UNCHECKED. Please Share and Make this go viral. The Security Guard at the CBCF Inc. couldn't hold in his HATE for our President Donald J. Trump he said on camera that he wasn't welcome there. We were loading in at the Congressional Black Caucus, the Caucus didnt even start — the ONLY Republicans in the room — and we were discriminated against. Security even told us “President Trump isn’t welcome here and the staff was very rude to us Republicans.” They tried to erase us. Our name wasn’t even on the sheet. It wasn’t on the map. It took just 2 weeks for Donald J. Trump President Donald J. Trump to bring down crime in Memphis , two weeks for residents to finally feel safe again. Meanwhile, Democratic leaders like Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Governor JB Pritzker keep pretending crime is down when we all know it’s not. Let’s be real , when crime is truly down, we can feel it. We don’t need politicians or fake stats to tell us. The people living in these communities can tell the difference. In Memphis, residents are saying their kids can finally play outside again , that’s what real safety looks like. But in Illinois, these same Democrats try to sell us lies while they hide behind security details and gated mansions. Brandon Johnson has over 150 police officers protecting him, and Pritzker lives in his guarded estate , yet they expect us to believe they care about public safety? Hey guys, I was Jim Crowed, according to Chuck Schumer, discriminated against, racially targeted according to the Democrats, and I want justice. The airport made me pay $45 because I didn’t have a REAL ID. I had an ID, but they said I had to have a REAL ID, and they made me pay money. I thought I was oppressed and couldn’t afford to get an ID, so how can I afford to pay a fine because I don’t have a REAL ID? I’m just confused, can somebody help me? Could we get a protest or march going for me? Democrats argued that ID requirements to vote are racist, Jim Crow, discriminatory, or hard for people to afford, especially when it comes to voting, so I’m trying to figure out why I was discriminated against, in a Heavy Democratic city, and State . My point is this: if Americans are required to upgrade to a REAL ID to do certain things, then it makes sense that showing a valid ID should also be required to vote. That’s my point . This is exactly why I am running for Mayor of Chicago. Everything I am running on, I have been fighting for for years. 17 SHOT. 4 DEAD. AND THE MAYOR IS IN MARTHA’S VINEYARD? While Chicago families were dealing with another weekend of violence, Mayor Brandon Johnson was away in Martha’s Vineyard attending events. According to Chicago police, at least 17 people were shot and four people lost their lives across the city over the weekend. This is the reality Chicagoans are facing. Families are grieving. Communities are hurting. People are asking one simple question. Who is protecting us? Millions of taxpayer dollars continue to be spent on programs like Community Violence Intervention, yet Chicagoans deserve to know: Where is the accountability? Who is receiving the money? What measurable results are we seeing? What has changed for the people living with this violence every day? Chicago cannot afford leaders who are absent when the city needs them most.
