This won’t be good because it’s not the year 1999, where you had a writer/director like Stephan sommers who was passionate about the 1930s action adventure genre with Errol Flynn. His favorite movie is Captain blood from 1935.

You need to watch Kenneth Clark’s 1969 docuseries, Civilisation. He covers the fall of Rome up to the mid 20th century. It’s 13 parts and 11 hours long, but it’s incredible.

I’d often thought, over the years, that someone should do a whole film where it's nothing but a chase.” -Mel Gibson

George Lucas revived the monomyth for a new generation by wrapping it in a Flash Gordon-style pulp space adventure. He paired it with John William’s Wagnerian opera score complete with some of the most imaginative visuals ever put on screen. Just pure cinematic magic that has reshaped our culture forever.
