Is the action taken by this bishop considered inappropriate? This situation is inappropriate. Yes, the Bishop is wrong, and here’s why: It is not suitable for a Catholic Cleric to engage in sports/play of any kind while fully vested, as liturgical vestments like the chasuble and stole are sacred symbols set apart for divine worship, not for secular use. Canon Law 1171 emphasizes the need for reverence toward sacred objects, and wearing them during sports risks causing scandal. It diminishes the significance of acting in persona Christi and treats the holy as common. While a priest may wear a cassock or clerical attire during recreation, vestments should be removed after Mass before engaging in any physical activity the sacred belongs at the altar. The priest is wrong in this video. Yes, some things are wrong. Before you attack me, listen 👂. In the Catholic Church’s teachings, no one is allowed to touch the Blessed Sacrament casually not even the priest without following the proper norms, (using the veil) let alone lay people. Secondly, you are not allowed to move around with the monstrance containing the Blessed Host whenever you want. There are liturgical regulations governing Eucharistic processions. These are the two most obvious things wrong in this video, and I believe 80% of us don’t know this. But if you think I’m wrong, do well to read about it before coming for me. 🙏 Reshare let others know
