I will cherish this weekend forever. For some context, one of the weirdest parts about having friends in the music industry is that you can be genuinely close with someone and somehow barely ever actually get to BE with them. Everyone’s schedules are insane. Most of our friendships end up being long phone calls, random FaceTimes, or seeing each other for 20 minutes backstage before one of us has to run to a flight or the next show. So when I saw the Zedd in the Park lineup and saw Porter and Madeon were playing, I immediately texted Zedd basically like “I’ll play wherever, whenever, 5 min set, idgafos, just get the boys back together” 😂 And somehow… he actually fucking did it. I was never even supposed to be on this lineup. I’ve known these guys for 15 years now, and I don’t think people outside of what we do realize how rare a weekend like this actually is. We didn’t just cross paths backstage, take a photo and disappear. We actually got to hang out watch each other’s sets, dance, and laugh TOGETHER! And after 15 years of all of us running around the world doing this insane job, getting to have a weekend where we could actually slow down and be present for each other meant more to me than I can explain. Obviously playing the show was incredible, but getting to share it with people I love and have grown up alongside in this weird life was the part I’ll remember forever. Felt super rare. Super special. Still buzzing ❤️ Thank you Zedd for making the magic happen. I would’ve played the fucking parking lot.

A lot of people don’t know this, but RΞZZ and I are actually homies and talk all the time. She’s one of my truest friends in this whole music scene, and whenever we’re on the same festival lineup I make it a mission to hunt her down and hang. She’s helped me through a ton of mental spirals and second-guessing, and I honestly cherish the hell out of her friendship. We actually started this song years ago with BRVMES (but I’m the procrastination king), so I’m beyond stoked it’s finally out in the world.
