There is nothing stronger than family ties, shared roots, and common historical memory. There is nothing that restores relationships faster than the bonds between people who were artificially turned into enemies. Events like this are yet another confirmation of that truth. As an athlete, a coach, and the father of a child who already competes in tournaments, I can say this with complete confidence. Today we participate in international competitions and compete against athletes from Russia, Belarus, Moldova, and other countries. We communicate, we make friends, we embrace after matches, and we understand each other perfectly. And everywhere people talk about the same thing — peace. About the day when we will be able to live peacefully in our own countries, raise our children, develop sports and culture, and freely visit one another without fear or hatred. I am convinced that this day will come.
