Taiji: The dolphin hunters drove in a pod of striped dolphins, a deep water species. As the dolphins were pushed into shallow water, they panicked. Dolphins could be seen tangled in nets, pressed up against concrete and rocks in desperate attempts to escape. BREAKING: Orcas trapped in Northern Japan. Tues. morning local time, Rausu Coast Guard received a report of orcas trapped in ice off the coast of Rausu, Hokkaido. Reported by Kyodo News, a rep said, “There is no way to rescue them as the ship cannot get close enough to them.”
