In an unusual gesture full of friendship and affection, Hon’ble MP and former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor ji, currently in #Jammu as the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs, visited Auqaf Complex Gandhi Nagar to have a glimpse of the Chamber which was my Consultation Clinic as Diabeteologist & Physician for over two decades, before I moved over to Delhi. Incidentally, it is in this very clinic that I used to attend to Shashi Tharoor JI’s mother-in-law and Sunanda JI’s mother, Mrs Das who had Type 2 Diabetes and was under my regular follow up. These days the chamber is occupied by a pharmacy outlet. Thanks Shashi ji, it was very inspiring… I wish I had accompanied you, if only I knew you were going to be in Jammu. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Shashi Tharoor

#Bengaluru, as the seat of #ISRO headquarters, offered perfect location to host the #BRICS2026 “Heads Of Space Agencies” #HOSA meeting under India’s chairship of BRICS. It was a pleasant experience, individually greeting and felicitating each of the visiting Heads of Space Agencies from Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.

The #Kaladi Story: Kaladi Cheese, a GI tag product from #Udhampur in Jammu & Kashmir, is currently undergoing technological intervention at the world class “Central Food Technological Research Institute” #CFTRI Mysuru, Karnataka. The results achieved so far include extension of Kaladi’s refrigerated shelf life upto 21 days, without compromising quality, texture or nutritional value. The next step would be to convert this traditional food product into commercially scalable product, that can be served in different recipes by professional food chains. #CFTRI Mysuru is the same institute which had earlier technologically helped develop Millet recipes currently served, among others, by McDonalds. #CSIR #12YearsofSeva

Good News for Aircraft operators and Aircraft passengers alike! Proud to have launched today, India’s first-ever and world’s 19th #SkyCast system at IGI Airport, New Delhi. This is a state-of-the-art integrated atmosphere remote sensing equipment for Fog monitoring, high resolution continuous monitoring of Turbulence, wind speed, vertical velocity, aerosols etc. This will make air flight take off and landing far more safe than before, particularly during the fog and turbulence conditions. India’s first SkyCast system at IGI Airport New Delhi is to be followed soon at Jewar Airport, and subsequently at Varanasi, Ahmedabad, so on and so forth. Congratulations to #ISRO on the successful sea-level hot test of the CE20 Cryogenic Engine at 22-tonne thrust at the ISRO Propulsion Complex, Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu. The successful test featuring the nozzle protection system and multi-element igniter marks another important step in strengthening India’s advanced cryogenic propulsion capabilities and further enhancing the reliability of the LVM3 programme.

Accompanying him, another equally accomplished Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair, one of the astronauts selected for India’s first Human mission Gaganyaan who was India’s designated backup for the mission to the International Space Station #ISS.
