My remarks from commencement. This includes that overlay of music, so this is pretty close to how I planned to deliver it. We had 9,000 graduates this academic year. That’s 9,000 lives changed, that’s 9,000 families with greater upward economic mobility, that’s 9,000 futures who entrusted their journey to Sacramento State. Being President is an honor and a privilege. Grateful to Nahom Semere for his significant help with this speech.

This College will be an institution, within the institution, designed to support Black and African American students. Please attend our community briefing on February 19th at 5pm Pacific Time to learn about our plans and how you can support. You can attend in person at Library Room 11 on February 19 at 5pm.
