🚨🚨 FACT CHECK | MAKKAH DRONE INCIDENT 🇸🇦 Saudi authorities say air defences intercepted and destroyed a Houthi drone south of Makkah on September 15, 2026, before it entered the holy city’s restricted airspace. However, a video now being widely circulated as footage of this latest incident is OLD and does NOT show the Makkah interception. 🔎 The same footage dates back to September 11, 2025, when an unauthorised drone was intercepted over Madinah near the Prophet’s Mosque. No casualties or damage were reported in that incident. So, two separate events should not be confused: ▪️ Madinah-Sept. 11, 2025: Old footage of an unauthorised drone interception. ▪️ Makkah-Sept. 15, 2026: Saudi authorities report intercepting a Houthi drone south of Makkah. ⚠️ The old Madinah footage is therefore being shared with misleading context as evidence of the latest Makkah incident.
