New Surgical Vision video 🎥 Seminal vesicle dissection can become surprisingly challenging after prostatitis, when inflammation distorts the usual anatomical planes. In this case, I focus on one of the most important tools for maintaining exposure: the 3rd robotic arm. → How to position and rotate it → How to progressively “roll” the seminal vesicle out of the pelvis → How to stay above Denonvilliers’ fascia → And how to dissect when the usual planes are no longer obvious Sometimes good dissection is less about what you do with your scissors — and more about how you create exposure. #RoboticSurgery #Urology #Prostatectomy #SurgicalEducation ERUS Robotic Urology Want to see more of the same quality content? 💧 Water under the bridge! The ureter (water) passes beneath the uterine artery (bridge). This close anatomical relationship explains why the ureter is particularly vulnerable to injury during gynecological pelvic surgery, especially when ligating the uterine artery. 🎥 A reminder of why surgical anatomy matters! 🔜 More pelvic surgical anatomy in the upcoming Surgical Vision video on vagina-sparing radical cystectomy! Following the enthusiasm I received for my previous videos, I'm sharing a new Surgical Vision Tutorial 🎥 The final steps of robotic radical prostatectomy: • DVC dissection • Maximizing urethral stump length • A different approach to the vesicourethral anastomosis, incorporating the Rocco stitch into the anastomosis itself Step-by-step, cockpit view. via YouTube ERUS Robotic Urology #RoboticSurgery #Urology

Unfortunately, no live #ERUS for me ERUS Robotic Urology . But I did find the time to put together another SurgicalVision video! How do you know you’re still in the right plane during nerve sparing? In this case, I wasn’t. A close dissection, an inadvertent capsular incision, recognition of the wrong plane—and how to find your way back.
