"This is definitely a wakeup call for us. I'm glad it happened early." Devin Booker after Suns 124-83 loss to Blazers as they trailed by 31 at the end of one. "Everything went wrong. We have a lot to learn from the tape offensively and defensively. I think they were killing us with their pace, forcing us into tough shots. Playing the deep drop. We knew it coming, but I think their guards did a good job of being active on the ball handler and forcing us into just being hesitant." Booker 23 points, didn't attempt a 3 (minus-43): "You can always do everything better in a loss like that. Trying to find the flow. We have some work to do and we have some things to learn from." #Suns #RipCity

"I've got to look at it back. Shoot over three people?" Devin Booker after 3-point effort (1-of-7 FG) in Suns loss tonight at OKC after scoring 43 points in Saturday's win over Golden State. "I don't know. We'll see. Like I said, be more creative and finding spots where I get it, get the ball on time. Those small glimpses where I have a little bit of space in transition, the ball has to find me." On facing 2-3 zone: "You can't stop moving. The ball has to continue to pop. You have to be aggressive. You have to drive the gaps. Something will open up on the backside." ".... We've faced 2-3 zone our entire lives. It's not complicated. You hit one or two shots, they'll be out of it, but you continue to slow down and we're not getting nothing out of it, they'll stay in it." #Suns #ThunderUp

"Insane. It's crazy, crazy." Kevin Durant on mega Luka Doncic-Anthony Davis trade. "Players are held to a different standard of loyalty and commitment to a program but the organizations don't get held to that same standard from the outside." On teams following suit before Feb. 6 trade deadline: "For sure. You start seeing stuff like that, as an organization, you might get a little more courage to do some stuff. You see another team trade away somebody like that. This got to be the biggest trade I've seen since I've been in the league or since I've been watching the sport. This is insane. So yeah, every other team might get confidence and say fuck it, I'll trade a few of my top players if this ain't working." #Suns

Kevin Durant on ESPN report that Suns locker room has been "toxic": "Yeah, I heard Ramona Shelburne come out and say our locker room is toxic. I try to tell people who aren't around this game much is that it's easy to say our locker room is not connected when you come in there 45 minutes before and guys are in their game mode and not talking to each other. Four or five guys might be in the training room, a few guys might be in the weight room. it's not a welcoming environment right before the game. That's part of getting ready to play. I think it's unfair and lazy to categorize our team as toxic when you come in there for five minutes throughout four months. That's the only time you've been in our locker room and then you can make a narrative? I don't think that's fair to us, but like I said, that's a part of the game. Part of the business we signed up for. Shit is not fair in this game, but we got to deal with it and accept it." #Suns

"Ya'll should be interviewing the officials." Dillon Brooks after Game 2 loss to OKC as he fouled out with 30 points. "That should be a new thing in the NBA. Officials got to explain themselves because it's getting ridiculous when you can see it. It starts getting fiery. No control out there. Now they're just whistling on one side." On friendship/competition w/Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: I'm on the court. I don't care who it is. It can be anybody on the court. I'm going right at you." #Suns #ThunderUp

"It's sad. He didn't learn anything. Just a matter of time. He's going to hit somebody else again. Take back everything I said. He don't deserve a chance." Jusuf Nurkic on Draymond Green, who got suspended after hitting him in face Dec. 12. "Antics. Try to hit people." #Suns

"It's crazy man. I really don't know what to say about it. Luka being a guy that everybody has claimed is untouchable and untradeable. The NBA shows you again." Devin Booker on colossal Luka Doncic-Anthony Davis trade. "It's a business. They're always having a conversation about you. Don't think that you're safe." #Suns

"The secret is out. They do speed you up. They play aggressive. They'll grab, they'll hold, but it's never like when you're in a shooting position. It's always on the handle or on your drives when they get away with it." Devin Booker on Thunder defense as Suns committed 20 turnovers that led to 29 OKC points in 123-119 loss. "Actually tonight, they probably called 40 to 50% of them, which is good. For real. For real. They have multiple defenders out there. They have their switchign partners. Guys that will get after it every time. They're a tough matchup." #Suns #ThunderUp

Former Suns superstar Kevin Durant on trade to Houston: “Once the Suns decided they wanted to trade me, they asked me what teams I’d be willing to go to and I gave them a few. That was an expiring contract. I had more leverage, and I was able to use it and get to Houston. In the perfect world, we win a couple of championships. I get my jersey retired here.” Credit: Netflix. #Suns #Rockets

Suns guard Collin Gillespie on his interaction with Draymond Green in Saturday's loss to the Warriors: "I ain't even get under his skin. Like, he said something to me and I said something back to him and I don't know if he I thought I wasn't going to respond to what he said to me? I'm 26 years old, I'm a grown man. I'm not going to just let somebody call me a name and then not say anything back. I didn't really get under his skin. I just said what he said back to me and that was it and then he freaked out so I don't really know." On what Green said to him: "I can't say. You could probably put it together but I can't say it in the media. I just said don't talk to me like that. That's all I said. It wasn't crazy and I used the terminology he used." #Suns #DubNation

"I'm hearing real people that I respected, that are credible in this business telling me that this shit is about to go down. So I'm on the phones heavy. No fucking way they trying to do this shit behind my back and they ain't say nothing to me. I said, that's fucked up." Kevin Durant during Netflix's Starting 5 Season 2 episode reliving when Suns looked to move him before 2025 trade deadline. "I know I'm the guy if shit was going south, I'd be the easiest to trade, but don't send me to the Warriors. Make it somewhere else but the Warriors. I didn't want to go back to the storyline and I don't want to go there and gut the whole team. First of all, I don't even want to get traded." Credit: Netflix. #Suns #DubNation

.Kellan Olson: You remember the last time you weren't confident on the basketball court? Suns forward Dillon Brooks: "I would say probably the series against the Lakers (with Grizzlies in 2023). I couldn't shoot the ball. The GM (Zach Kleiman) is telling me to only shoot 6 shots. Not giving me the confidence I needed and you can feel that energy coming from front office and coaches. Never the players, the players want to win, but you feel that energy. Even if you're working and put in the time, it's not falling. Probably that was the last time. I cut that off from there. Then I had that little FIBA run. All I kept doing was working, working, working to get back to where I was." #Suns #GrindCity

Mike Conley. Marc Gasol. David Fizdale. Three people Dillon Brooks said pushed him at the start of his career in Memphis just as he pushing Oso Ighodaro. "Marc gave me tough skin. My first year, he never called me by my name." What did he call you? "I don't even want to say it on here. He's a good guy, but you know, it created that tough skin. That's why it baffles me these young guys now, these kids now, they can't take it. They just start mouthing off and start going back and forth, which is funny to me." #Suns #GrindCity

"I'm a competitor man. I don't really like the smiling, the giggling and all that. Just letting him know I'm here and I'm still rising." Dillon Brooks on his interaction with LeBron James in Suns 125-108 win over Lakers. "He likes people that bow down. I don't bow down. That either entices him or it aggravates him, either or." #Suns #LakeShow

Devin Booker on $35K fine on ripping Game 2 officiating, but seeing 3 techs rescinded: "I read it as, you were right, but you can't say anything about it." On Lu Dort play in which Booker hurt his left ankle: "I don't want to make it a thing. It's not the first time it's happened and probably won't be the last. You just have to deal with it." #Suns #ThunderUp
