♦️Must Watch♦️ EFF Treasurer General Commissar Omphile Maotwe speaking to Newzroom Afrika ahead of the hearing of President Cyril Ramaphosa's urgent application to interdict the Section 89 impeachment process. Mr Ramaphosa removed himself from office by engaging in wrongdoing, and he can't blame that on us. We did not ask Mr Ramaphosa to do business illegally or to trade in US dollars while he is the President presiding over a country whose legal tender is the rand. So he has transgressed a number of laws in this country.

In Thohoyandou, the ANC was ordered by the court to provide shelter for families whose homes it had demolished. The families were relocated to Makwarela Stadium, where they were left without adequate support or follow-up care. It was only while preparing for their recent rally that the ANC remembered the families still staying at the stadium. We speak to some of those affected families in the clip below. #EFFTurns13

♦️ Listen♦️ Commander-in-Chief and President of the EFF, and Member of the Impeachment Committee, Hon. Julius Sello Malema, objects to the Chair's proposal to delegate the nomination of an evidence leader to staff members, stating that this was never the agreement of the Committee. He argues that the Chair, as a representative of a political party, should understand that nominations must come from political parties. Allowing the staff to make the nomination would give him an unfair advantage. The CIC also rejects the illiterate view that an evidence leader nominated by a political party would necessarily be politically aligned with that party throughout the process. He cites Adv. Tembeka Ngcukaitobi as an example, arguing that he has represented both the EFF and the ANC in different matters, which does not make him politically aligned to either party. #EFFInParliament #ImpeachmentCommittee

♦️Must Watch♦️ “I could not find a single wrongdoing by General Khan. In fact, I stated in my own words that the SAPS owes General Khan for what he did, because he stopped police officers who had come to collect drugs under the authority of the then head of traffic routing.” Gen Mkhwanazi’s testimony at the Madlanga Commission regarding General Khan. It is for this reason that The Ad Hoc Committee had no substantive basis to call him for questioning. Suggestions that he was ‘protected’ by the CIC Julius Sello Malema are therefore based on a fallacy and are not supported by the evidence on record.
