Besides the obvious reasons, like these buildings are used as sniper-nest, the main reason is that in accordance with Hamas’s combat doctrine, the terror organisation installed in these buildings intelligence-gathering equipment, cameras, sniper and anti-tank firing positions, and in some cases established observation war rooms and command-and-control centers.
