I have no words right now. We took Panther for a routine check up at the vet this morning. An hour ago he passed away after having a bad reaction to a vaccine that’s designed to prevent upper respiratory infections. The shot is a standard vaccination for all cats, similar to a rabies vaccine. But it turns out our beautiful boy had undetected advanced lung disease and the shot sent him into rapid respiratory arrest. Again, I truly have no words. We rescued our Panther from the streets where we think he was dumped because he was simply too friendly and too loving to be feral. I fostered him for 10 weeks at my apartment and then my parents adopted him. He was such a happy boy and I can only thank God that he brought Panther into our lives where he spent a very happy 5 months. I will miss his constant purrs, his little meow squeaks, his snuggles and the love and joy he brought my entire family. Thank you Panther for everything. You were so loved. You truly rescued us. ❤️

It’s now past the 5pm ET deadline for senators’ amendments to the text released last night by U.S. Senate Banking Committee GOP. Reports today suggest some Democratic offices were still unsatisfied with the compromise, including a ban on yield on account balances. It’s unclear as of now whether the text has changed. More to come.
