Speaking during an interview on ARISE NEWS , Mallam Alwan Hassan and 999 others , APC Nigeria Presidential Campaign Spokesperson, pushed back against claims that more Nigerians are falling into poverty under the current administration. According to Hassan, the narrative does not reflect the realities on the ground. He argued that definitions of poverty cannot be imported without context, stating that “a Canadian or Swiss national cannot define Nigerians who live self-sufficiently and cultivate their own land in rural communities as poor, without understanding the context of their lives.” On agriculture, Hassan said it is false to suggest that Nigerians can no longer access their farms. He pointed to states such as Kano and Kaduna where, according to him, farmers continue to cultivate their land and generate billions of naira from the sale of agricultural produce. In the area of skills development, Hassan also disclosed that technical and vocational education is now free across Nigeria. BREAKING: NANS President Akinteye Babtee Babatunde has called out Dr. Rauf Adegoke, Rector of D.S. Adegbenro Polytechnic Itori, over alleged fraud in NELFUND loan disbursements to the school. Babatunde said the school charges N236,000 for HND I but uploaded N350,000 on the NELFUND portal. He also said the school charges N152,000 for ND II but uploaded N330,000 on the portal. He accused the management of charging above approved school fees and called on President Tinubu to intervene. Babatunde added that NANS will publish a list of all universities involved in the fraudulent activity, and that the EFCC will be petitioned to investigate.

He was governor of Anambra for 8 years. What security structure did he leave behind? Lagos still has Tinubu’s Neighbourhood Watch functioning today. In Anambra, there’s nothing comparable. One wonders if priority was placed on saving security funds in Fidelity Bank instead. Elections are about track record not cho cho cho.
