In 2023 I announced a Labour government would reform outdated cohabitation laws to grant equal rights to unmarried couples. Seeing that promised in our 2024 manifesto remains one of my proudest moments as Shadow AG. I’m delighted to see the government finally taking action!

The idea that the Greens are the party of housing is nonsense. Since 2018, they've opposed the building of 658 social homes in Islington. Islington Labour 🌹 #OnYourSide is committed to building more housing, and to continuing our ambitious buy back scheme.

This week I've discussed future of the Gulf & Lebanon with Ambassadors from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain. I also met the Lebanese Ambassador. We agreed: - Hezbollah must be disarmed - There must be a ceasefire in Lebanon - Israel's security depends on a functioning Lebanese state

The case for seizing Russian state assets in European bank accounts. I was speaking in Parliament Sq at Ukraine Solidarity Campaign 🇺🇦✊🏽🚩's protest. We must seize the hundreds of billions frozen across Europe, to help defend and rebuild Ukraine. It's vital, it's legal and it's the right thing to do.
