Help me understand America. Why is it that liberal athletes are celebrated for speaking out politically, while conservative athletes are criticized for doing the same thing? When athletes supported Obama, they were praised by the media, corporations, sports leagues, and Hollywood. Nobody called it “dangerous” or “polarizing.” The same thing happened in 2016, when many athletes attended Hillary Clinton rallies, publicly supported her, and openly campaigned for her. But when conservative athletes express their opinions, they are told to stay quiet, while liberal athletes are applauded for doing the exact same thing. Americans can see the double standard.

Socialism may sound appealing to some people today but history shows it has failed in many countries. Just look at Venezuela, Cuba, the Soviet Union and others. Those countries faced economic decline, shortages, and a loss of freedom. We shouldn’t repeat those mistakes. Many young people are struggling with high housing costs, student debt and uncertainty about their future. Those are real problems and we shouldn’t ignore them. But history shows that socialism doesn’t solve those problems. It often leads to less freedom, less innovation, and fewer opportunities. Instead of abandoning the system that has created so much opportunity, we should fix what’s broken while protecting the freedoms that have made America a country that millions of people still dream of coming to.

O sevdiğim kişinin dedikleri şunlardı; “Bir gün etrafındaki insanlar seni anlamayacak ve dışlayacaklar, merak etme, sana onların çocukları ve torunları sahip çıkacak. Sen bildiğin yolda koşmana devam et.” Kardeşlerim, yaptığım bazı şeyleri, aldığım bazı kararları, attığım bir çok adımı, paylaştığım şeyleri ve görüştüğüm bazı insanlar şuan sizlere anlamsız, gereksiz, ters, hatta şuana kadar görüp, öğrendiğimiz düsturlara ters bile gelebilir. Bunların hepsi zamanında gerekli yer ile istişaresi edildi, kararlar verildi, yol çizildi. To Governor Kathy Hochul; Sports is supposed to unite people, not become another political purity test. Whether someone supports President Donald J. Trump or not, Knicks fans are Knicks fans. You don’t have to pass a political test to root for New York’s team. As an athlete, I can tell you this firsthand. Locker rooms are filled with people who have completely different beliefs. Republicans, Democrats, independents. Sports works because people rally around a team, not around politics. The second you start dividing fans politically, you lose what makes sports special in the first place.
