South Africa’s proposed digital ID system is being presented as voluntary and convenient. But at Lex Libertas, we believe citizens should be very concerned. Even though it is called voluntary today, systems like these tend to become compulsory in practice. Once banks, employers, and government departments start requiring the digital version, your physical ID card becomes second-class. What starts as optional can quickly become mandatory. This system also creates a central record of where you go and what you access — powerful surveillance infrastructure in the hands of a government that has repeatedly shown admiration for highly centralised authoritarian models. That’s why Lex Libertas has made an official submission to the Department of Home Affairs. We need to show, however, that our concern is not a lone voice. If you are concerned about government overreach and the steady erosion of freedom and privacy, we need you to act with us. Register your support, and add your voice to this campaign. "Kill the Boer" was played in the Flemish Parliament today. Thank you to Kristof Slagmulder for his efforts in raising awareness about the crisis in South Africa and his support for the Afrikaner people. He goes on to say the solution is not merely refugee status, but for Afrikaners to live freely and safely in South Africa.

It's bizarre to see how those who are complaining about the spread of misinformation are very keen on spreading misinformation themselves when it suits their narrative. I responded to Sophie Mokoena's claim that President Trump was spreading fake news about South Africa.

There are many people in South Africa and in the USA who are working hard to tell the world that those of us who are concerned about the future of South Africa are exaggerating, or that we are busy with some dark agenda. Our greatest task is to gather support for solutions. But to have the conversation about solutions it is important that there is certainty about what exactly the problem is that needs to be solved. As far as Lex Libertas is concerned, the crisis can be summarized under three headings: 1. A destructive policy framework; 2. Disintegration of the state; and 3. The persecution of minorities. This is why the White Cross project is so important. We must give the world credible information about exactly what is happening in South Africa.

Responding to Malema's "Kill the Boer, kill the farmer". After the chant, several farmers were attacked on their farms in South Africa. 79-year-old farmer, Theo Bekker was brutally murdered. He was severely beaten before his throat was slit. Please spread the word! AfriForum
