Lake rescue !!. It was his first trip to a local lake after beating cancer. He had the same last name as I do (no relation) He launched off 5 minutes after me. It is NOT a boat launch. 54 years and I've never seen any boat launch from there. It's our duty to help fellow anglers, period! I called 911 and DNR immediately and they came fast. He had an oxygen tank and looked like a broken foot boot. I stayed with him until I knew he was safe. Thank you local fire, emt, DNR!!. (I began fishing after about an hour and got some DANDIES!)

Today is Emily's 16th birthday. Last Saturday after her soccer tournament we told her we were going to stop by and see if Mountaineer Honda had any decent used vehicles. She had no clue even after seeing balloons on the car. A huge thank you to Papaw Jack and Sandy (Doo Doo) for helping us get Emily the car she wanted.

My daughter had to be carried out of the pool today after refusing every effort to leave. The tears, the screaming, the stares from others-those moments are exhausting and overwhelming. Tis the season.. first snake in the chicken coop caught and released. I know they're hungry and coming for the eggs, I don't have any chicks but could this snake really have been about to take down my hen tho? It sure appeared to have been trying to grab her. The eggs had already been collected. That's a mighty ambitious move snakeypoo. Idk what I would've done if Riley wasn't here laughing at me with support.

If you've ever fished Snow's Cut, you already know... half the battle is dealing with other boats Today was hands down the closest we've ever come to having a real problem on the water. The crazy part? We weren't even fishing in the channel. Everything happened so fast, and for a second there it got a little western. Thankfully everyone was good, but some people really need to slow down, pay attention and wear better sunglasses... Also, shoutout to Lexi for showing a level of restraint I've never witnessed before, because I know she was about 0.2 seconds away from absolutely unleashing hell on that boater
