Chongqing was subjected to a brutal indiscriminate bombing campaign by Imperial Japan during World War 2. Scores of civilians were killed as terror rained down from the skies for over 6 years. I visited this bomb shelter to see for myself what the people of Chongqing endured.

Everyone should see the new film #DeadToRights - I haven’t had an emotional reaction in a theater like this in a long time. It’s not only a 10/10 movie, it’s an incredible piece of education about the Nanjing Massacre. Too many people in the west are unfamiliar with the horrors of what happened in 1937. It is in theaters worldwide now.

Top news in China. Completely unreported in American media. If you haven’t read my article about the western media bias, it is a warning to the media that the fear mongering, negative-obsessive stories they keep running about China is harming global security. That my story has been ignored is an embarrassing display of bias and hubris.

I never imagined that making a viral TikTok about a forgotten chapter of history — and donating a photo album connected to it — would eventually lead me to becoming an American citizen speaking out for better US/China relations. September 3rd marks 80 years since the defeat of Imperial Japanese fascism in World War II. In my travels across China, I’ve seen firsthand how much importance the country places on Peace. Tomorrow’s parade in Beijing is not only a commemoration of victory, but also a reminder of the costs of war and the value of lasting security. Finding common ground in history is one way we can work toward a more stable and cooperative future.

December 1937. Nanjing, China. Japanese troops seize the city after a fierce battle and begin a barbaric slaughter of 300,000 innocent people. I visited the Dead to Rights film set in Shanghai to bear witness of what this hell on earth looked like. I strongly urge anyone visiting to come here and see for yourself. It added another level to my understanding of just how unimaginable the suffering was during the Nanjing Massacre.
