But I came to realize that the strength I had back then was actually a kind of strength that was hiding my weaknesses. Through my career, I realized that perhaps the people who can openly talk about their own weaknesses and imperfections are actually the stronger ones. And when I came to that realization, it became a change where I could say “Then I can love myself as I am now.” Honestly, I don’t think there’s anyone who has no fear. I think everyone experiences the pain that comes from taking on challenges, as well as the fear that comes from wanting to try something new. Instead of running away from that fear, I started asking myself “Why am I feeling scared right now?” And I realized that it was because I genuinely cared about this work. I also came to realize that there can be good emotions that come from fear as well. Recently, the message we’ve been conveying through LE SSERAFIM’s music has also shifted toward the message that “I can love myself because even my imperfections are a part of who I am.” I think music that the general public can relate to is wonderful, but I want to deliver music that can reach out to people who are struggling alone or wondering “What should I do?” I hope we can create music that doesn’t leave anyone behind. I think the period before turning 30 is a time when there are so many rapid changes in life. In that sense, I want to be someone who can encourage people, even if only a little. By seeing me challenge myself, I hope people can think “Maybe I should try it too.” I want to be that kind of presence, even if it’s just giving someone a small bit of courage." — 🔗 — 🔗
