Flix Fam, It is with a heavy heart that we share the profound loss of a member of the Flix Fam and a dear friend to many, Ken (cheV^8), who tragically passed away from a heart attack on July 1st, with Manny (his dog) by his side. Remembering Ken, we think of his infectious energy, his sincerity, and the profound love he held for our community. A true believer in the ecosystem we proudly foster, Ken went above and beyond in his efforts to connect with people, radiating warmth and kindness to all he encountered. Ken was a creator at heart and tirelessly championed other creators to take the plunge and share their work. His belief in the power of NFTs to do good, and his determination to instill acts of giving in our initiative will forever define his legacy. He was our motivator, our cheerleader, and above all, our friend. In our hour of despair, the Flix Fam extended their support. Upon not hearing from Ken for a while, we had a word with @GhstofSalmon420 who reached out to Kenโs parents via 911 and established a line of communication with us. @GhstofSalmon420 then connected us to Kenโs father who relayed the heartbreaking news. We're deeply grateful to Scott for helping us during such a difficult moment. Upon learning this, our travel from Dubai to Paris for the Cosmos Events became a somber affair. The news weighed heavily during our stay in Paris, leading us to share it initially with only two people who inquired very specifically as to why Ken wasnโt responding. Ken rests near his childhood home, yet his spirit vibrantly echoes within us all. To support Ken's family during these trying times, we're actively ensuring that his token allocation is directly transferred to them. Commemorating his love for music, @FlixFantics introduces the 'Ken Lives' NFT collection. We invite our community to mint the music that Ken worked on: Collection Link: All proceeds from this collection will be channeled directly to Ken's family, with FlixCrew matching the total amount raised. As we navigate this immense loss, we encourage those who knew Ken to share their memories of him. We're dedicating InTheStudio Ep. 65 to reminisce about Ken and what he meant to us.
