Apparently the “Goth” community has something to say about Drakes choice in women. Stating that Pinkchyu is cosplaying a “Real Goth” saying she’s not actually goth. He opens with “I’m not one to gatekeep” then spends the entire video deciding who is and isn’t allowed to be goth. Funny how the purity test only gets this intense the second Drizzy shows interest in a woman wearing the aesthetic. Suddenly goth is “music only.” Suddenly it’s a costume if you profit from it. Suddenly the look itself is secondary. Meanwhile he’s standing there in the full visual uniform, making content off the same aesthetic he just declared invalid. The anti-sexualization point is real and needed. Treating alternative women like menu items is trash. But using Drake as the trigger to invent selective rules weakens the whole argument. You can defend the culture without turning authenticity into a moving goalpost that only appears when certain people get near it. Goth people come have this conversation please. Since when people get outcasted from the Goth community ?? Drake can’t have a type? Why can’t we enjoy entertainment? It’s a fucking joke?
